News 24/7
Editorial standards
Accuracy and headlines
Headlines must accurately represent the article and must not omit context in a way that misleads readers. Significant factual claims should be supported by reliable, attributable sources.
Originality and authorship
Original reporting is credited to the people who produced it. Licensed, syndicated or permission-based material must identify its source and the legal basis for republication. Plagiarism and invented bylines are not permitted.
Images and other media
Editors must record the creator or provider and confirm ownership, a license, permission or public-domain status before using an image. A publicly accessible image URL is not evidence of permission.
Corrections and conflicts
Material errors are corrected promptly. Opinion and sponsored material are labelled, and relevant conflicts of interest should be disclosed.
Advertising independence
Advertisers do not approve or control newsroom coverage. Paid placements are labelled and show the advertiser name.
